Blister machine KBS-C medplus

Developed to meet exacting demands, the next KOCH medplus generation convincingly extends our range and reflects our expertise. The innovative machine concept combines a large forming area and compact machine dimensions. This small footprint, plus straightforward assembly and setups, allows alternating use in normal packaging areas and cleanrooms up to ISO Class 7.
Whether syringes, surgical instruments and sets, medicines, treatment sets, or needles, the KBS-C medplus packages small and medium-sized batches in quick succession, at a high cycle rate, and in excellent blister quality. Innovative processes are used to achieve this. The patented smart heating function accurately controls the heating energy and, in combination with the smart forming function, reduces the forming material consumption. Perfectly formed blisters are the result.

Packaging medical products with the C: The next generation of KOCH medplus

At KOCH Pac-Systeme GmbH in the Black Forest, the company’s portfolio for medical applications is being strengthened by the addition of the new KBS-C medplus.

The slogan “Pack medical products with the “C” stands for everything that makes this machine unique. Compact, character, clean, and even clever – die KBS-C medplus combines multiple highlights. First and foremost, it excels by its compactness: a footprint of less than seven meters enables simple transfer and a fast production start. A further attribute is its innovative and flexible machine concept, covering a broad spectrum of medical devices and pharmaceutical products. Whether syringes, instruments, OP and treatment sets, medicines or needles. The target market is geared to small and medium batch sizes. With its unique combination of compact machine dimensions and large forming area (380 mm x 350 mm) the machine is equally suited to producing large batches. The clean machine design is easily accessible and visible, and designed for cleanroom applications up to ISO Class 7 as well as Risk Classes IIa, IIb, and III. Three innovations for heating, forming and sealing ensure excellent packaging quality: Smart Heating, Smart Forming and Force Vectoring. Our patented Smart Heating function accurately controls the heating energy and, in combination with the Smart Forming function, reduces the forming material consumption. Force Vectoring allows for optimum control of the sealing quality. All these processes combined result in perfectly formed and sealed blisters.

This machine marks a milestone for the special machine manufacturer. Not only because it is the first one specifically designed for medical applications, but especially since it also closes a gap in the company’s portfolio between the smallest KDT turntable and the high-performance KBS-KF machine.
